That's why I made the earlier comments about Minnesota

Since they've entered the league they have been fairly competitive despite not winning a division title since 2000.

plus up until brad childress came around they had a pretty good track record beating favre both in the dome and more recently at lambeau field.

i'd say the rivalry pretty much heated up when moss came into the league and tore up the packers at lambeau and killed their long home winning streak.

maybe now that moss is gone, the bears have retaken that position but for quite a while we were public enemy #1 as long as 84 was here.

Just the throw some numbers in the fray, here's what I have found.

Starting with the 1961 season (the Vikings' first season in the NFL), here are the 4 divisional teams' win totals:

Green Bay 378 wins
Chicago 339 wins
Minnesota 381 wins
Detroit 304

If you're interested to know how much of an impact Favre and his teams have had on this list? Lets just take it from 1961-1991, which is pre-Favre:

Green Bay 230 wins
Chicago 226 wins
Minnesota 242 wins
Detroit 204

So what this basically tells us is that the Vikings have been the more comeptitive franchise since they entered the league, and certainly in the last 15 years. It's scary to think that Favre and Co. have accounted for 35 more wins than the Bears since he came to GB. The Vikings have actually stayed pretty close, trailing the Packers by 19 wins. The Lions have only won 100 games since the start of the '92 season, a difference of 58 wins- ouch.

Please check your stats. Favre has more than 148 (378-230) wins (He's nearing 160 not positive on the exact amount. 158 wins maybe??)

The Packers have had pretty good success in Minnesota going back to the time Mike Sherman was head coach. I don't think it just started with Childress.

What's ironic is that GB had a decent record against Minnesota during their heydey (70's) and Minnesota was pretty competitive against GB during the 90's so go figure.
