Same Topic in Ch-Trib
It would be like a one year rental with maybe an option for after he does his time. I guess it would silence the questions about who Cutler will throw to. Buress, Olsen & Clark and TE, Forte from the backfield and Hester/whoever on the other side would get open more by default given the double coverage Buress would regularly draw. Come to think about it, Buress OWNED the GB secondary in that playoff game in '07.....hmmm.... |

I don't think it will happen, and I honestly hope it doesn't. Burress is a Prima donna, and all the legal rigmarole would be a distraction going into the season.
I don't blame the Bears for placing a call, though. Burress is a excellent receiver in his prime, and those guys don't come available often. It has nothing to do with being classy, it has to do with due diligence. If the Bears sign him, then you can play the "stay classy" card...as I did a couple years ago when you guys signed Koren Robinson to your team of choir boys B-N-D PS: It won't happen, but if the Bears ever did sign Vick, I'd be finding a new team to cheer for. |
