I've always heard that you shouldn't start a rookie QB in the NFL. You should groom them behind a veteran. Isn't that what AR did? It seems as if just because Favre came out of retirement, AR is all of a sudden a rookie that sucks. Jesus, if you never moved on to a new QB, Bart would still be there. How much experience did BF have when Majik went down? It's ridiculous.

I remember the same comments about Carson Palmer and that he was dumb(Big Blue Cane). It takes awhile to find out about QB's.

I want to know from the people who thinks Favre should have been awarded his job back:
Would you trade Rodgers for... a) Kitna b) Orton/Grossman c) Jackson You know what? AR might be the best out of the bunch. We'll soon find out, but I'll keep what we have, thank you. |

I think it depends on the QB and the team and the market. If there's a team with a bunch of grumpy old vets on offense it makes it a little harder.
I think Rodgers is in a great position to succeed. TT has built a high character team as evidence by not a single player leaking any significant dissent with everything that's happened. I think DD realized how important his role is in that. I think Favre's aloofness and distance from the younger players made it easier for them to turn young. |

I wouldn't trade him for any of them. I think Favre is better than Rodgers, but I also think Rodgers is better than that group. |

It's certainly to ARod's benefit that he's had a few years to learn as a backup. Sure it's going to take him some time to apply and perfect what he has learned come game time, but what better replacement situation could fans ask for?
