Our friends at the RanchReport.com recently met with former Cowboys coach Barry Switzer, who may have revealed Brett Favre's football plans for this fall. It appears that former Green Bay Packers quarterback Brett Favre may be on a televsion set on game days this fall instead of the field. Former Dallas Cowboys coach Barry Switzer recently indicated as much to RanchReport.com's Mike Fisher. Switzer was on FOX's studio show last year, pairing him as a "Grumpy Old Man" with longtime friend/nemesis Jimmy Johnson. But Switzer told Fisher on Friday that while the network is still negotiating with him about a role, FOX may replace him on its totem pole with another legendary name. "Well, they’re talking to Favre," said Switzer at Oklahoma University Honorary Degree luncheon on the school’s campus. "I still think they want me involved in some way. But with Brett. ... they might pair him in a segment with (Terry) Bradshaw, I don’t know. ... It’s a lot of fun for me, but there’s only so much time (available) on that show. And, hey, he’s Brett Favre!" Since officially announcing his retirement, Favre has indirectly indicated that he may consider returning to play football. He has always downplayed any future role in television after his football career, but that may soon change for the future Hall of Famer. Stay tuned http://gnb.scout.com/2/753973.html I guess anything's possible but somehow I don't see it with Brett. Unless he gets to broadcast from his John Deere. |

That about says it all. They're interested in getting Favre; there's no indication that Favre wants to waste him time doing that stuff. |

I won't watch him just like I won't watch any pre-game crap. Frees up a lot of time for me.

If Favre were to wind up on a pregame show (which I don't think he will), I think I'd watch it just because I love hearing him and his long answers in all his interviews. I wonder what they would do if Favre regularly turned a 5-minute segment into a 15-minute in-depth discussion. |

2 choices come to mind: 1) can him 2) give him his own show. |

I wish. After 6 or 7 hours I get pretty bored with this joint. Then I go spend time with my family.

I hope he does it. While he's talked about retiring to his farm and becoming a hermit, I'd think that with the way that he loves to talk about football that he'd be perfect for something like this.
I'd rather see him over on ESPN paired with Steve Young though. |

Pure genius, BK! Sounds like the title for the next great sitcom. Can you say "Emmy?" |

Ya know Packer fans, its' been such a fun/scarey/emotional/enjoyable ride with Brett...no matter what he decides to do with the rest of his life,
we will all just pay homage and enjoy his being in the public, to where we can see him, read about him, or hear him. I just love that Green Bay QB. Thats how I feel. And I will miss him this season. And am sure most of you "older" Packer fans feel like me. That man gave us alot to CROW about. Never forget it. So you can tell your kids and grandkids about it. (sigh) I hear Arod is playing an Appleton Fire Dept. fundraiser softball game. Good grief...........will he make the first game? Scarey there, but again, hope I find a renewed faith with a QB. Just gonna be a scarey ride again. But, HELLO, I am a Packer Fan. (sigh) lol GO A-Rod...? |

Brett was on the news today stating that it is all rumors about him going to Fox. Doesn't know how this stuff gets started but it does. This was Fox channel 11, and he kinda winked and said Fox was a good channel or something to that effect. I just think he likes to tease people , because they do anything to start rumors about him over everything. He still creates news for all the stations, so they keep bugging him. Leave the guy retire. I love him to pieces, but its over and life will go on.
