DAVIE, Fla. -- Daunte Culpepper apparently won't be getting a chance to compete with Trent Green for the starting quarterback job in Miami.
One day after agreeing to send a fifth-round draft pick to the Kansas City Chiefs for Green, the Dolphins told Culpepper on Wednesday they want to trade him -- a move he is resisting. Culpepper said he was told at a morning meeting with general manager Randy Mueller and coach Cam Cameron that the Dolphins "are going in a different direction at the QB position." "They would like to trade me in order to 'get something for me,"' Culpepper, who serves as his own agent, wrote in an e-mail. "However, it is my position that I have already been down that road and I am not interested in being traded." http://sports.espn.go.com/nfl/news/story?id=2894921 LMAO. Um note to Daunte: You dont have much choice in the matter. If they are going to trade you, they will. Side note: An highly over-rated QB with a bad knee. What's Miami going to get for him? Sounds about right. |

They should have just given him to the Chiefs in the trade. That way they wouldn't lose a draft pick or it could have been a conditional 7th with Culfumbler.

I think the Packers should take a flyer on him ... he could play fullback at times.

Maybe the Queens will take him back.
Jackson will likely struggle as most if not all rookie QB's do. I am sure just a matter of time before the KFAN IDOT's start banging that drum since Culpoop is available. Wont change anything though. He still sucks the big suck. |

Welcome to Chotchkies I'm Daunte, and I'll be your server. Can I get you some shrimp poppers, pizza shooters or extreme fajita's?

Well, that is if you wanna settle for the bare minimum. Take Brian for example. He has 37 pieces of flair. |

Are you sure that's Brian? Look's like a 'Brad' to me. As in 'Brad Johnson'. |

If Culfumbler rates higher than Favre, he's mediocre and just a tad above pathetic.

I thought this is one of the funniest things all offseason:
From KFFL:
It would have been funnier if they'd actually brought him back. |

Atlanta maybe? With Vick likely to get some time off, and Schaub gone, who is their back-up?

What's funny is the the Chiefs QB situation is not viewed as a very good one, but even they have no interest in Culpoop. |

I'm sure he'll end up in Dallas. Their OC, Jason Garrett, was the Fins QB coach last year. If Culpepper is back to the form he once was, Garrett would be the guy that knows it. If they can get Fumblepepper for a good price, I expect them to get him. I have a feeling Tiny Romo was a Samkon Gado flash in the pan and he won't be very good. Brad Johnson doesn't have much left in the tank either. They'll be in the market for a young, meathead, fumble prone, big armed QB....

None other than Joey Harrington. I'd say CP is an upgrade. |

THis just in. Gladlow of NFL.com is a grade A IDOT. He says Culpeppers ideal, number 1 destination is...you guessed it...Green Bay! here: " 1. Green Bay Packers -- The Packers are very familiar with what Culpepper can do, having faced him when he was a member of the NFC North rival Vikings on several occasions. Green Bay also has the salary cap space to make the move, but most importantly, the Packers have the need. Brett Favre is getting closer and closer to retirement, and the team has to find a replacement. Some observers think that player could be Aaron Rodgers, whom Green Bay drafted in the first round of the 2005 NFL Draft, but more and more it is becoming obvious the team has little confidence in him. Don't kid yourself -- Favre would have been sent packing two years ago if Rodgers was good enough. And with Favre struggling to the third-worst quarterback rating of his career last year (72.7), that doesn't say much for Rodgers at this point. Of course, I'm not ready to condemn him to a Tommy Maddox-like career just yet. But it just seems clear that the team isn't entirely sold on him either. Whether Rodgers blossoms or not, it would be a good idea to have some veteran talent on hand to ease the transition when Favre retires. Culpepper would provide that. Give Culpepper another year to recover from his disastrous knee injury, take the pressure off Aaron Rodgers to perform immediately and give the team added depth for the next several years. It makes sense. Probably too much sense for it to actually happen. " -- http://nfl.com/news/story/10217364 What a moran. You'd think A-rod was Barry Bonds or something, from the amount of punishment he takes from the media. |

But P'boi, seeing that DC is his own agent, doesn't he have to approve the trade? He could end up making the Phins cut him. I mean, if Daunte asked for a trade, the Phins would have to approve it right, so now the Phins want the trade, so DC has to approve it. I'd say he does have a choice in the matter |

The 4 teams interested emerge:
Seems like an odd play for the Rams unless they want leverage against Bulger for contract negotiations. |
