Thanks DD! I'm feeling better and today was my 1st day back to work. Next objective will be golfing... |

If the NFL Network is correct, there might be suddenly be another $20 million that will count against the cap.

Cpheph1 has graciously given us an update before the final 53. (Thanks CP!) Does Greg Jennings need a raise or what??!?!? |

So with $23 million to spend who of the 2008 expiring contracts get in season extensions? Tauscher should be first in line, then Bigby if he has a great 1st half of the season. There is also Ruvell M |

Since the cutdown to 53 happened, cpheph1 has updated the cap page.

Speaking of ugly....
KGB's cap amount. Bubba's, Manuel's, and Turd's remaining cap $$$. And several players whose contracts are set to expire this year: M. Tauscher, C. Cole, A. Bigby, R. Martin, T. Williams. These weren't all of them, but the ones who could have the biggest impact on the roster for next year, IMO. And several more who are set to expire in 2009: C. Clifton, Kampy, R. Pickett, ARod, T. White, N. Collins, Spitz, T. White, W. Blackmon, Jolly, and C. Peprah. These weren't all of them, of course, but the ones who could have the biggest impact on the roster for next year, IMO. |

We could be in for a ton of change real soon. Our LT & RT aren't getting any younger.
After this season Jennings should be paid in the top 10 WR's in the league. That $755K is a complete joke. I know TT will do right by him. I'd hate to see where we'd be on the OL without Clifton & Tauscher. |

How does the minimum salary level fit in to this? Right now it appears that the Packers have only spent about 82% of their available cap and I thought they had to spend at least 85% of the cap space. Or is this percentage based on the initial salary cap figure and not the adjusted amount?

Thanks for posting the cap update.
Here's some text to go with the spreadsheet: 1. Many players had salary increases from my previous listing (note all info was taken from previous JSO, and in some cases GBPGAZ); most salary increases were from off-season workout program @ $120/day. Grant & Poppinga obviously got new contracts or extensions. 2. McGinn did not include the "dead cap players" [$5,753,439] in his most recent player cap numbers [ JS Online Link ]. He also did not include PS player amounts ($707,200 total). |
