Melvin, Ash and Peterson will sit down tonight and have a nice steak dinner with Mulder and his Agent in Arizona.

With Peterson/Mulder working together before, I would think it's just a matter of time before he signs a Minor League deal with incentives and a ST invite and maybe a release date around June 1st if he isn't on the Major League club by then.

With the talk still being on picking up another starter, I think Dave Bush's days are numbered in Beertown. The Crew will keep him around, most likely, for the start of ST(injury insurance) and then he will be released so the money can be used on the afore mentioned starter Melvin wants to sign.

Well, you can scratch Mulder for the time being. He hasn't even started throwing off a mound as of yet. To be continued..... later.

He's thrown what, 6 innings since 2006... im not going to hold my breath.
When was the last time Capuano pitched? 2006-2007?

Go give Ben Sheets a workout. If he does really well, give the guy a nice incentive laden contract and let's be done with all this.

Somehow the saying "stick a fork in it" comes to mind.

Brewerfan is stating that it was reported that Mulder is retiring. No "official" link I could find yet (other than bfan)...

EDIT: Not official but a link nonetheless: spooky mulder

EDIT, EDIT: Pete says it's true: http://www.jsonline.com/blogs/sports/84386362.html

Gregg Clifton, Mark Mulder's agent, tells me reports that Mulder is retiring are "Not accurate. Mark has not made a decision."

Mulder was enjoying riding his tractor. Then something about a daughter balling her eyes out on their deck and trying to convince daddy to come back one more time...oh wait.

No, that was when she saw the familiar ending to a season she has seen so many times before ... along with the uncontrollable sobbing, she was heard cursing and throwing F-bombs! Smiler
