Yes, Kobe won the MVP but if I could have any player in the NBA to build a team around it would undoubtedly be Chris Paul. This guy is flat out dominant and I haven't seen a point guard raise the level of his team like this since maybe Magic Johnson.
He is only in his third year so I expect him to get even better. Funny, we passed on IMO the biggest difference maker in the NBA when we drafted Bogut. |

There is no way the answer to this question is anyone but Kobe Bryant. Paul is an outstanding player, and deserving of being the #2 vote getter in MVP votes, but there is no one player that has a greater impact on a game than Kobe Bryant. Now that the playoffs have begun, we are seeing the greatest player of his generation in full view. Nothing against Paul. And not to discount Kobe's off-court issues, but we're talking about the premier franchise player in the NBA. |
