The Wolves remind me of the Detroit Lions. It all starts with a horse-schit GM. Year after year McHale has had terrible drafts and free agent signings. And yet, it's always the coaches fault. Phil Jackson couldn't win with the lineup that team has. And now McHale is coach? haha

being a wolves fan (i worked for them 'back in the day'), the one thing that strikes me is how unathletic they are. their team literally looks like boys playing aginst men. they have three players:

Jefferson: Could be a stud with some supporting cast.
Love: Has shown already to be a solid NBA player. Not the game breaker that MAYBE Mayo could have been. But for sure maybe a Laimbeer-type without the dirty play.
Craig Smith: A solid player off the bench for a good team. Starts for this team.

The trade of Roy for Foye has proven to be a disaster. And they should have known. Foye is undersized and can only go right. It was known on draft day. The Wolves took a million from the Blazers to make that deal. Keeping Roy would be maybe 5-7 more wins for this team this season. That may be exaggerating but they have blown so many in the final minutes it's silly. They have no go-to scorer other than Jefferson. Not a one.

Mike Miller has also disappeared. He plain doesn't shoot enough.

If Taylor doesn't clean out the front office after this year, he may become the biggest joke of an owner in all of pro sports..

They have a couple of players to work off of and a number of draft picks coming up. The question is, who is that guy to figure this out?

They're playing pretty well lately. In fact, since McHale took over the coaching, they've beaten some pretty good teams.

Well, they've won 6 of their last 8, the wins coming against New York (13-20), Memphis (11-25) twice, Golden state (10-27), Chicago (15-20), and Oklahoma City (5-31). Their 2 losses in that time? To Orlando (28-8), & Dallas (21-15), blowing a 30 point second half lead in that one.

Jefferson is truly an engima much like Tim Thomas was with the Bucks. The guy shows you flashes of talent from time to time but my opinion is that he lacks the motivation and drive to ever reach his full potential. Maybe he's just not simply as good as people think either.

You are also correct about the Foye thing. I think he could be a decent player but right now Roy is a stud and he's made a huge difference for Portland.

Maybe Mc Hale has found his niche. 10 of 14 and two nice wins over New Orleans and at Phoenix in the last week.
