At least that's what Hoopshype was reporting.
If it meant adding another veteran that could offer rebounding or defensive help out on the perimeter I'm all for it. I don't know how much value that pick holds but it's pretty unlikely the Bucks will get a stud player there so they might as well think about it. |

I don't have much faith that the front office will be able to make the right selection at #8 anyway, so they may as well deal it. Please send it along with some of the dead weight and get someone that wants to play defense.

Just for kicks I wanted to get a feel for the type of player the Bucks can expect with the 8th pick of the draft. Here are the last 10 superstars picked in the 8th slot.
2007 Brandan Wright - Charlotte 2006 Rudy Gay - Houston 2005 Channing Frye - New York Knicks 2004 Rafael Araujo - Toronto 2003 TJ Ford - Milwaukee (miss him) 2002 Chris Wilcox - LA Clippers 2001 DeSagana Diop - Cleveland 2000 Jamal Crawford - Cleveland 1999 Andre Miller - Cleveland 1998 Larry Hughes - Philly A couple of desent players there, but no all stars. A role player at best, on average. |

NO...I don't think he ever made an All-Star team. There are definitely a few guys that Milwaukee could benefit from, but chances are at #8 you are not going to get someone that is going to elevate the franchise significantly. |

I like Joe Alexander.
If he is there at 8, I think they should grab him. |

I wouldn't be surprised if the pick is traded, either alone or to get rid of some of our crap.

I would like to see them make a deal to get Hibbert late. He is projecting in the 20s, and they should look to get him in Milwaukee.
I think he'll make an excellent back-up C with a good chance at being a solid starter at some point. He's a quality basketball player, and can make up for some of his lack of quickness with his intelligence. I think he'll make a solid C in this league, and having a quality back-up for Bogut should (IMO) be a priority. There's way too big a drop-off after him, and it makes the 2nd unit a liability. plus you can go big and put them together and be pretty stout in the paint. |
