I think there is no question the Bucks are now a better team that they were when they woke up this morning. Jefferson is an All Star level player who is exactly what this team needed.

I like Alexander. I think if he can develop ball skills, he'll be an incredibly dangerous player. He is very versatile, really aggressive, and I like what I have seen. He has the kind of swagger a guy who wants to be a high level player needs.

Watching him play, it's amazing how focused he is on getting back and playing defense. All I want is some decent d and a consistent effort. When was the last time a Buck's team gaves us even that??

I know I am being a bit "ethnic" here, but the black players, on average, have some serious hops.

Regardless, did you see the LIFT Alexander has on his jump shots? That dude is elevating. And speaking as a guy who played for fun for many, many years, that takes innate athleticism and work.

He is REALLY elevating on his jump shots.

He also appears to have the work ethic and an aggressive mentality.

Yeah, I like him though I also would have liked the PG from Texas (Augustine).

But wait....will Kohl have to travel to West Virginia to sign Joe Alexander? Best move the team made is getting rid of Yi. Now the news articles will be about basketball rather than Yi and China etc.

Jefferson does seem to get banged up from time to time, but if he's healthy, he's an excellent player and I am sure Skiles will like his D effort.

blog on jsonline that Jefferson is unhappy having been traded. Who can blame him I guess. Until Hammond gets Larry Harris'/Kohl's mess cleaned up, no one is going to want to be here.

Maybe Jefferson is going to be part of a deal with Miami?

The Bucks deal Mo, RJ and CV for Marion and Haslem? Haslem has 2 years left at about $7.5M, and Marion will go for about 4 years, $70-75M. The money winds up evening out, and the Bucks are a better team up and down. Only question left is PG, where the keys will be in Bell and Sessions' hands. Meanhwile, V-Sky gets to learn how to play D from one of the best in the game at the F position. Sounds good to me...

so what, he is a veteran. He knows the NBA is a business. He'll come here and be loved like he was in NJ.

He'll be fine.

yeah, well of course.

It's just hard to get a good grasp on these vets who played their careers with great PGs. Are they as good as advertised, or were they made alot better...

Marion has been an elite defender his whole career. The guy was a fantasy dream long before Nash- they need an elite SF. Marion is a lot better than Jefferson- if they're working on a package for him, I'll be a pretty happy camper.

i'd rather have marion too, even if he is older. It'd be nice to be able to dump Mo and get Haslem back in the same deal. If we could turn over Chalmers in the same deal as a backup pg to sessions/bell.. i'd be ok with that too.

Jefferson isn't too bad of a defender from what I've seen of him play. What's nice about him is that at least he attempts to defend the perimeter which is something that has killed them for years.

I used to live in Tucson, so I grew up a big U of A fan. I watched Jefferson play for 3 years in college, and have followed him since his arrival in New Jersey. One thing that always stuck me about him is his hard work and dedication to improving his game. In college, he wasn't much of a scorer, and never had to create his own shot. He came into the league as an athletic defender who could finish on a fast break. But he has worked hard to improve his shooting (especially 3 point shooting), and has become a legit 20+ point scorer. With the scoring pressure not solely on him in Milwaukee, he should be able to boost his rebounding, assists, and steals too. I am not a Bucks fan, but it's hard to see this trade as anything other than a steal.
