Game 4 of the Finals took me from Exhilaration to Exasperation in 24 minutes of the second half. The Lakers have blown the series in a a failed comeback on the road and a failure to close out in a blowout at home.
Watching this series, I have to wonder: 1. The Lakers are soft in the middle with Gasol. We badly needed Bynum's presence in the middle. Wave after wave of green shirts are rolling through the middle. 2. The Lakers have been extremely productive when they attack the basket. They built the 24 point lead based on that. Then, for some stupid reason, they start shooting nothing but three's and long jumpers in the third and fourth. 3. Derek Fisher has not been shooting as much when they are tripling Kobe. Sasha cannot be the only three threat. 4. Radmanovic's defense is brutal to watch. 5. The Lakers cannot stand around and watch Kobe in the last five minutes of a game. 6. Kobe... bet you are wishing you had Shaq right about now... That was a brutal, brutal loss and despite Phil Jackson's comments that this series is not done.... IT'S OVER. |

It's not over until Stern says it's over.

It's called defense.
Last time the C's had a comeback of this magnitude, in the 2002 ECF, they lost their next 3 games in a row. |

Good to see LA compete in game 6. What a complete embarassment losing by almost 40
Kobe has bad karma and I love it. I don't care how good of a player he is he's a complete fraud and jagoff. Maybe he'll demand another trade in the offseason??? Good to see Ray Ray and KG finally get a title. Those guys have earned it. |

Good call sir. I love seeing Kobe "I want to act just like Jordan" Bryant and Phil Jackson get it handed to them. |

Kobe is very good but after watching him come up so small in this series and stand-by last nite and just watch the championship get yanked away can we please stop these Jordan comparisons forever. Thanks.

As soon as the accusation of fixing games came out, you knew the Lakers were done. Every Shaq/Kobe title is tainted now. Why do you think Phil Jackson refuses to coach for Vancouver?
Anyhow, speaking of rig jobs, anyone remember how Rodman was called for every foul for San Antonio and then when he went to the Bulls he could've shot a guy on the court(Brickowski) and the foul was on Frank. If anyone wants evidence of refs being company men, slap that series in the Bill Belicheater file. |
