Who was the guy on the golf course and why was he shot? So Siad now is a hitman in the future?

I am assuming they are all from the same group, the blonde, the guy on the golf course... the girl that Locke killed. The blonde for sure had the same bracelet as the girl Locke killed. Her name escapes me.

I don't think there was much to that scene other than to show that Miles is a con man with some psychic abilities. He found what he was looking for .. the stash of cash. He was chosen for that group of "rescuers" because of those abilities.

My guess is that he will have something to do in regards to that ghostly Jacob character. He may have been chosen to speak with him or something.

I think that guy was one of the big money power brokers of that group that is trying to get Ben. I would think he is tied in with the freighter people, the four island "rescuers", Naomi, and that Abbadon character who visited Hurley in the mental ward.

Ben has already shown in the past that he can be ruthless, so apperantly he decided to start knocking that group off before they could get him. He's using Sayid to do his bidding with the promise his friends from the island will not be harmed.

yep, they must be the head dharma people and looks like Ben either gets off the island also or can he be counted as one of the oceanic 6? I was shocked til the final scene watching Sayid be a stone cold assasin...then when you see at the end why he's doing it...makes sense. Now we know it isn't Sayid in the coffin at the end of last season (big rumor on Lost boards...)

I don't think we know that for sure....we really don't know the time frame of Jack's flash-forward at the end of season 3. That might be after Sayid's killing spree and then his death.

Remember...Hurley's flash-forward in episode 1 was before Jack's flash-forward from last season.

another interesting tidbit is the time difference on the clocks when the payload came in.

I thought Ben went back and forth between the island and the mainland in the sub.
He is not one of the Oceanic 6, as he wasn't on the plane

Yeah .. pretty neat. We've known there are some time anomolies on that island, but I sure can't figure it out enough to explain anything about it.

Richard from the Others group sure doesn't age much .. Ben met him as a teen, and his apperance was pretty much the same then as it is now. Some of the newbies might not remember him .. he's the dark haired, dark eyed guy from Ben's group. He almost looks like he is wearing eyeliner .. his eyes are so dark.

Ben on the other hand has aged quite a bit, but it seems that he might spend a lot of time away from the island. Richard leaves the island on occasion as well .. he was the one who recruited Juliet to join the team.

It's a pretty confusing deal, but I think the time issues will remain secretive until the ending of the series. I think it will play a major part in whole mystery of the island.

Just tune in next week an hour early - they always show last week's episode before the new one comes on. Actually, the re-play is nice because they always pop in little comments at the bottom of the screen about the characters or the scene.

I don't want to spoil it for those who saw last weeks but Desmond is seen flying off the island in a helicopter. I assume he is the 5th but he hasn't been in a flash forward yet so I can't be sure.

Ben IS seen in a flash forward so I guess he could be considered the 5th.

I'm not really sure though.
