Saw them in StL at the Fox Theatre with my 12 year old. The light show alone was worth it. The first half of the concert was the entire "Dark Side of the Moon" album. I've seen many concerts in my day, but that was surely one of the best. You could have closed your eyes and not known the difference.

Just curious, did you order one of these and if so where did you get it and a price?

I did end up ordering the 3-disc reissue of Piper at the Gates of Dawn, which probably puts the boxed set out of my consideration. But if you found a place that has it at a good enough price...... Big Grin

Well, anyone who can run that fast in February, deserves an album collection.

Just curious, did anybody ever get the Floyd set?

I'm considering it again. Even though I hate this vinyl replica crap, I just did purchase an Iced Earth box where the CDs are packaged as mini vinyl replica's.

The reason I'm still holding off on the Floyd is I can't stand that $250 price tag. Amazon did have it at ~$210 for awhile, which was still too rich for my blood. I'd be in the market if it had a $150 price tag, anything over that and I am passing. Interestingly enough, I've read that they did throw "When the Tigers Broke Free" on the version of The Final Cut that's included, much like the recently reissued version of that CD, which surprised me since it violates the spirit of the original releases. Also, the version of Piper at the Gates of Dawn included is the stereo version, which to me is disappointing because I find the mono version a much better listen.

The Iced Earth set was selling for $125 at www.cmdistro.com , convincing me to get the set regardless of my dislike of the the mini-vinyl craze. Maybe if I end up not minding the packaging format, I'll go ahead and get the Floyd set.

But if anyone has this Floyd set then identify yourself because I still have some questions about it!
