IMMHCO, the best one this year is Brooke White. She sings while playing the guitar and sings while playing the piano.
She reminds me of a flower child from the 1960's.

It's called money and the show makes a ton of it. The only reason anything is on TV....

It's good family fun, instead of throats being cut and people being shot, and some stupid people saying vulgar things, If you don't like it, don't watch. sun2

well, let's see. The promo currently running for "How I met your Mother"
has Brittney Spears saying, "can we have sex and THEN go shopping?"

Yeah, right. That's sure the kind of inspiring programs I want my
kids to see. Frowner

Sheesh, there is so much utter crap on TV, and so much parading of clueless
"stars" who are some of the absolute worst types of roles models for kids.

Okay, I know I'm an old fart, but once football season is over I find myself
watching old reruns on TV Land. Or science or documentary programs. And yes,
even American Idol. It's not great TV, but I wouldn't be ashamed of watching it
if my kids walked in to the room.

RoyalWulf,

I feel your pain buddy. Animal Planet, Discovery, TLC Channel, ESPN, and NFL Channel with Sunday Ticket... Oh and the Fresno State/Boise State Annual Matchup....

Keeps a man sane... Thumbs Up

You watch American Idol? Admit it, it's only cause of Mrs. RoyalWulf or one of the kids. Wink

It's a competition. My house, we bet on it and everything.

David Cook last night was really good. I'm betting tonight Chickeze or the Irish chick are gone.

the Irish chick actually has one of the better voices in the competition but has sucked the past couple of weeks. I bet Cickeze or Rameal are the ones to go. David Cook was the best last night.

TV has an OFF button.

I find plenty of good shows to watch so I won't turn off the TV. The bad part is that if you watch anything on FOX, you have to be subjected to it.

I still don't understand why you hate it so much.

I mean, really, it's just a light, fun show that features music and has some comedic value as well.

why don't you list the shows that you watch so that we scratch our heads and wonder why you watch them.

1. House (though this years show hasn't been as good as previous years)
2. The Shield (sucks we have to wait until fall for the final season)
3. Deadliest Catch (just a bunch of characters who put their life on the line so people can eat crab)
4. Two and a half Men (the show is crude and funny)
5. CSI Las Vegas (just something to watch on Thursday)
6. Criminal Minds (not as good since Mandy Patinkin left)
7. Psych (pretty good comedy)
8. Monk (I like Tony Shalhoub and not just because he is from Green Bay)
9. Bones (my wife got me hooked on it, I like most of the storylines)
10. Anthony Bourdain No Reservations (the guy travels to cool places and he just cracks me up)
11.Lot's of Food Network stuff because I like to cook
12. John Adams mini-series on HBO
13. History Channel, National Geographic Channel etc.
14. K-ville was pretty good but as usual the shows my wife and I like seem to get canceled.

Flame Away!

Of those you mentioned, I watch Two and one half men, Food nework and History Channel. I have enough drama in real life to extend it to drama filled TV.

You're a loser. All the cool kids watch American Idol. David Cook impressed last night. Chikeze (Or whatever his name is) or the little oriental looking girl will be heading home tonight.

It makes millions of dollars because of the ratings.

Is this really difficult for you?
