Anybody else impressed with the talent this year? Some very good vocalist this year with one 17 yr old kid appearing to be just about the best since the show started. The kid hasn't missed a note much less a performance. Here is a clip of the song he sang last night that could probably sale a million copies as soon as it hit the market.

Yeah AI has had a woody for the kid since he was 12. Here's some more about the 'phenom'...
Everyone knows David Archuleta won Star Search when he was 12. But did you know that he competed against Alexandrea Lushington (yep, the same girl from this year's top 24) on the show and beat her? She was much better than him, but he had been pimped so much by the judges, they let him win. It looks like exactly what's going to happen this year! Not only that, American Idol has always been recycling Star Search contestants for their show. Among the reused contestants from the past are Lisa Tucker from season 5, hot mess Jessica Sierra and fro queen Nadia Turner from season 4's top 12, Joe Murena and Amanda Avila from season 4's top 24, and Tatiana McConnico who had her audition shown from season 6. With all of this lame recycling going on, American Idol should open a plant!  VFTW |

regardless, the kid can sing. IF he could have sang on the show when he was 12, he probably would have placed in the top five. Apparently he was that good then. Sounds like a lot of sour grapes in that blog.... |

It's been better than most years. That Archuleta kid (any relation to Adam Archuleta?) can definitely sing. He reminds me of a favorite of mine named, Steve Overland, just not as polished. It appears you have to not be hetero-sexual to make the Top 24 this year. |
