Anyone know anything about them? We're looking at these for work purposes, not sure what the coverage area in Wisconsin is like. I'm not sure if it's even worth looking into?

My wife has one for her laptop. Coverage has been pretty good for her when she's traveling. Not sure about Wisconsin, though. Even if you are out of a coverage area, you still connect but it's at a crappy modem speed (I think 33.6?). When you are within the coverage areas, the speed is pretty nice for wireless.

Don't they have dialup coverage areas and broadband coverage areas? More than likely, most of Wisconsin is going to be dial up coverage. Great.

I used to use Verizons Express Network (3G) about 2 years ago.

It was pretty much flawless as long as you have a cell signal. Speeds around 80K with burst up to 144K up and down. At that time it cost about $80 a month for unlimited but I'm sure prices have come down now.

It's very handy for that person constantly on the go. Great for checking e-mail. Not so great for downloading huge graphics. Just don't expect cable modem speeds but Verizon has fantastic coverage throught the U.S. as a whole.

Yes. I know when I used it in Dubuque, IA I was getting dialup speed. US Cellular and someone else (??) seemed to be the big providers out there. I'm guessing it's the same in Wisconsin?

The coverage is pretty horrible in Wisconsin, which is why I'm skeptical about these devices. I suppose that if I'm going to truely test the full potential of this device, they'll have to fly me to Orlando or something. hmm1
