Well, DirecTv finally got with it and now you can program your DVR anywhere you have an internet connection. Tivo has had this feature for many years. Just log into your account page on Directv.com and you can schedule your DVR.

One very cool thing is if you have a cell phone or PDA like a blackberry that has internet capabilities you can program your DVR with your PDA. Just go to m.directv.com and log in.

I've used this several times, it works great.

Yeah I really like it. I haven't used the web interface but I have used the blackberry feature a few times when I've been out and forgot to set something up to record. The interface for a blackberry is a little hoakey, but it gets the job done.

I used my TREO and it works great. Very cool.
