My fiance's computer used to have Excel, but it was somehow lost. Is there a place to download a copy of the program on the Web somewhere?
Thanks. |

If you mean free, legally no.
There are ways to download it illegally, but I am not sure if FRZ would appreciate posts like that in his forum. Downloading pirated software is often viewed differently than downloading music files. FRZ? |

If you just want to view Excel files, you can get the reader here
If you want to create and edit files, you need to either buy Office or Excel or get out the pirate eye patch. |

Yeah I really don't think we want our fine forum shut down because of piracy. I enjoy talking Packer football with all of you too much.
I can say this..... It is readily available if you know where to look |

Corel Quattro (part of the Word Perfect family) can open, edit, and create Excel files, and works quite well. It's not free, but it's cheaper.
OpenOffice is a free open source office suite and is a decent substitute for MS Office. IMO, it doesn't work as well as either MS Office or Corel WP office when working w/ Microsoft files, but it's free. |

Thanks. I work in the Internet industry as an owner of a consulting firm, and have a law degree, so I'm fully aware of the problems with piracy. I was just looking for a reader program, and I should've been more clear about that. My bad.
Thank you for the responses. |
