Is this even possible? My TV allows for PIP but I have never tried it since I thought)maybe I thought wrong) it was not an available feature with satellite TV. I am trying to watch the Packers at 1:00 and have the Mets at the same time. Is there anyway to do this without moving another TV to the room....

I'm no techie and not that familiar with PIP, however, I DO have it on my TV and I was told that I can watch TV while I am watching a DVD, but not two DirecTV channels at the same time. (Like DTV through my HDMI connection and I have my DVD player hooked up with a composite cable)

I'll be interested in hearing the response given by PH, who has DireTV, is a techie, and knows most of this stuff.

I've never used PIP with DirecTV. Since it requires two simultaneous tuners I'd think it isn't possible. Your DVR has two inputs but can only output 1 channel at a time. Now if you plugged in two receivers at one TV....... hmm1

I do it for DVD, or OTA and Satellite but, as pointed out, you'd need to hook up two recievers to do it for two Satellite signals. Even though the DVR's have dual tuners, that won't work because you can't view both at the same time. You can only record.
So if one game is being broadcast in your area on regular TV, hook up an antenna and you'll be good to go.

My DISH dual TV receiver allows me to use my PIP and watch two programs simutaneously. (I also have the built in DVR with this unit so I can watch any of my recordings on either set.)

DTV does not have that type of receiver yet.
