I don't know if this is possible but I am looking to the x4 computer experts for some help. Basically I want to know if it is possible to set up a wireless network to print from a laptop to a desktop and access some files on the desktop?

Here is what I have:

1 desktop with XP
1 laptop with XP
1 laptop with XP tablet pc version

I also have a Netgear Wireless Router (MR814v2) that was used in the past when we lived in town and had cable internet. Now, out in the sticks, I just have dial-up.

We can print wireless at work so I would think that I should be able to do the same thing at home.

The computer that has the printer set up would have to have the printer set up to Share. I believe you right-click on the printer and the menu that comes up offers that.

Share your printer on the desktop to "Everyone" and you should be able to map to it. I don't know that I've ever setup a P2P network using a wireless router, but I don't think it would be a problem to do so.
