I picked off this statement from another board referring to DTV. Can you verify this? Also, where would I find details, tech-wise, on this info?
We are considering switching to DTV when out commit is nearly up come March madness time. DirecTV will has a single wire connection that will be available to all very soon. This will essentially allow you to split the signal like cable and have two tuners off of one wire. This will allow you to hook up as many as you want. |

For starters, how about a link to the original comment?

If there was a link, I'd include it. This was just a part of a post, as I said before, from another board(which is having a server error at this time). Nothing else. Whatcha' got on this subject?? |

It's being tested now, I have heard something about "by the end of the year". I'll look for more info and post it in a bit.

There is a CE (Cutting Edge) program that DTV runs through DBSTALK.COM. You can sign up and getting beta versions of software and test out new things if you want. The SWM is currently being tested.
Here is a Link that talks about it and shows how to set it up. Of course when it is available for the rest of us we won't have to install it ourselves. |
