Got mine on the 31st. Mine looks like one of those Transformer toys. Big Grin

I finally got around to setting mine up today. Pretty simple with the software and USB interface. I just had to use the DirecTivo remote to teach it a couple of commands. Everything else was automatic. If I can "train" my wife on this thing, she'll actually be able to watch a DVD without my help. Laughing

I finally found some time to setup my new Monster remote.

Yeah yeah, I know everybody hates the Monster name brand but I got the $360.00 (retail) remote for a shade over $150.

Setup was a complete breeze. Over the net using the software connects via USB. I did it on a PC (not a MAC yet) but will perform the testing on the MAC at a later time.

Pick your components and put in the model no. and the programming does the rest.

One-touch button fires up the TV/Receiver/DVD (if I want to play a DVD) and sets the inputs properly on the TV (HDMI) and the receiver (DVD). Simply amazing and any non-techie could easily set this up and use it.

It also controls my SIRIUS satellite radio receiver too. Very cool stuff and so simple to use. Also, one-button powers everything off as well. Now this is how a remote is supposed to be! Here is a photo.

All you need now is a Mac Mini for your entertainment computer. Will it work with Apple's frontrow?

Sounds exactly like the Harmony it terms of functionality. They just look different. The Harmony is black and shaped more like a Tivo remote. It charges lying down instead of standing up.

Still haven't had the ultimate test yet (wife) but that should happen soon enough when I go away on vacation. Smiler

Whoa! This didn't occur to me earlier but my AC is infra-red controlled. So I checked it out and YES the Monster can control my AC too!! Then I checked and yes it can control my MacBook Pro as well! LOL!

Maybe I can program the remote to go to work for me or run X4. Big Grin

This is definitely cool.

PH, we are having problems with our pepper and tomato plants. Can you come take a look? What, do you and your wife have a greenhouse?

Hauser, that made me laugh. Laughing

PH, congrats. You too, FRZ. My problem? Can't get the kids to use the damned thing. They already know how to turn everything on. Kids are funny.

Late to the show, but I just picked up the Logitech Harmony 880.

I really like it. Very easy to set up and use.

I haven't checked out all of the options yet, but have the basics down. I really like the LCD screen:

Very easy for the kids and wife to figure out.

The options seem to be impressive, but I haven't tried all of them yet.
