The other day I was doing some screen captures in IE and didn't want the address bar showing so I went to View > Toolbars and unchecked Address Bar. Today I wanted to restore the address bar so went back and checked it, but it doesn't display. Have opened/closed the browser, rebooted, Googled, etc. but can't get it to reappear.
Any ideas? Thanks! p.s. Have since purchased SnagIt, making it much easer to capture screens instead of using Print Screen. |

Try right-clicking in the area it would normally be and see if Lock the Toolbars is checked. If it is, uncheck it and start fishing around for it. It may be hidden by one of the other toolbars. Look for the >> along the right side.
No guarantees. Hope that helps. |

Well of all the dumb things. You said the word "hidden" and I got to thinking about trying one more thing. I dragged the bottom edge of the top of the browser down and there was the address bar. How it got hidden there in the first place I've no idea.
Another one of life's mysteries solved. |
